Not just a PONYTAIL

When it comes to summer hairstyles, a ponytail is my go-to. It’s simple, keeps your hair out of your face, keeps you cool and you can make it sleek, messy, curly or braided.

We are a bit bored with simple ponytails, high or low ones. If you’re looking for ways to jazz-up your ponytail for the summer, I encourage you to look through this cute and creative way to spice up your ponytail and give them a try! Braids are something that can really upgrade this basic hairstyle and make it unique.

For this, all you will need is some bobby pins, elastic bands (I recommend sleek ones) and a hair straightener, if your hair are not straight.

In this fabulous style, a sleek ponytail is created by two braids on the sides of your head. Remember, a ponytail can also be switched for a bun in hot weather or when your hair does not want to cooperate. 😉

STEP 1: Do a center part

STEP 2: Take hair on your back half and put it up into a tight pony tail so that it does not bother you.

STEP 3:  Start braiding the right section up into a French braid, adding hair from the root as you braid along your hair line and wrap it around the ponytail elastic to cover it. Do the same thing with the left section.

STEP 4:  Secure with a bobby pin.

STEP 5: At last, just loosen up the braids to get a fluffy look and it’s done!

Let me know if you guys try this hairstyle out — even better I would love to see a photo of it on instagram, and don’t forget to tag me!
